The Amphora Photograms are from the Collection of The Museum of Underwater Archaeology, Bodrum, Turkey. As an Artist in Residence in the nearby village of Gumusluk, I gained permission from the Museum Director to use the Amphora for an art project. I prepared hand coated cyanotype on BFK Rives archival paper in the ruins of the ancient Byzantine church in Gumusluk. Assisted by the curator, each Amphora was taken off of the exhibition wall and exposed to sunlight in the courtyard. The amphora remains from the bottom of the Adriatic sea now reflected its past life as a photogram.
